Industries

Manufacturing websites that turn spec checks into RFQs.

Engineers and buyers check your specs, certifications and lead times before they call. Your site should answer them first.

We've built for Bioteg, a German biofilter manufacturer selling in the US, and ECO₂ Technologies. Website packages start at $9,500, and custom builds with portals or dashboards at $30,000.

Problem

Why most manufacturing sites lose the engineer.

An engineer comparing suppliers, a buyer building an approved vendor list or a distributor looking for a new line gives your site a few minutes. Five patterns we see on manufacturer sites.

  1. 01

    Specs locked in PDFs.

The data an engineer needs to shortlist you sits in a scanned catalog. Search engines can't read it, and nobody can filter it.
  2. 02

No proper way to ask for a quote.

A general contact form with nowhere for a part number, a quantity or a drawing. The RFQ goes to the supplier whose form takes two minutes.
  3. 03

    Certifications hidden.

ISO 9001, AS9100 or IATF 16949 decide whether you get on an approved supplier list. They belong on a quality page, with each certificate and its scope.
  4. 04

    Buyers can't find your distributors.

No rep or distributor locator, so a buyer two states away emails your head office and waits for an answer.
  5. 05

    Built for one market.

Export buyers read specs in their own language and units. An English-only site loses them at the first spec table.

Deliverables

A site built for how engineers and buyers check you.

Every page answers a question an engineer, a buyer or a distributor asks. Your product team keeps it current without calling us for every change.

  • Product catalog with specs your buyers can filter and compare
  • Spec sheets, CAD and STEP files on each product page
  • An RFQ form that takes part numbers, quantities and drawings, sent to the right salesperson
  • A quality page with your certifications and their scope
  • Industry and application pages that show where your products are used
  • Distributor and rep locator by state or region
  • Case studies with the problem, the product and the result
  • Careers pages written for machinists, welders and engineers
  • More than one language where your export markets need it
  • Set up so Google can read every product page, with Search Console connected

Turnkey

You make the product, we run the website.

Design, build, hosting, security, monitoring and the changes that come after launch are handled as one engagement, so nobody on your team has to become the website person.

Work

Recent builds, across sectors.

Six projects. Two are concept sites, built to show a specific firm what their website could be rather than commissioned by them, so each one is marked and opens the live build.

Process

From brief to launch & beyond.

We start with a working session with you and the people who run the work, and build on what it finds. After launch we stay on to host, support and improve the site.

  1. 01

    Discovery.

A working session with you and the people who run the work. We review your current site, your competitors and what your buyers search for. The brief comes from that.
  2. 02

    Strategy & content.

Positioning. Architecture. Copy for the homepage and the project case study template. Photography brief. Sector pages mapped to buyer search intent.
  3. 03

    Design.

Page designs and the look of your brand, built in code so you review the real site in a browser early on.
  4. 04

    Build.

Modern production build using the latest web standards. CMS configured. Project case studies migrated and rewritten where needed. Analytics, structured data and Search Console wired.
  5. 05

    Launch & improve.

Go live, then watch how real visitors use the site for the first 30 days and make two or three rounds of changes based on what we see.

Questions

What manufacturers ask us first.

Have you built websites for manufacturers?

Yes. We built bioteg.us for Bioteg, a German manufacturer of industrial biofilters, for its move into the US market, and the technical site for ECO₂ Technologies, which develops oxygen injection technology for water treatment, with its project library and careers pages.

Can you put our product catalog online?

Yes. We build the catalog as structured content your team edits: specs, options, downloads and photos for each product. Buyers can filter and compare, and Google can read every product page.

Can buyers download CAD files?

Yes. Spec sheets and CAD, STEP or BIM files can sit on each product page. You decide which are open to everyone and which ask for a name and email first.

How do RFQs reach our sales team?

The RFQ form takes part numbers, quantities, dates and drawings, and goes to the right person by product line or region. It can also go straight into your CRM, as inquiries do on iknow.us.

Can the site show stock or lead times?

Where your ERP or inventory system offers a way to read them, yes. We look at what your system allows and scope it with you on a call.

Can the site work in more than one language?

Yes. Iknow's site runs in four languages, including right-to-left Arabic, and the same approach works for your export markets.

What if our current site still works?

Then keep it, and we'll tell you so on the first call. If you want more inquiries from it, the SEO Growth Program works on the site you have.
