Industries

Government contractor websites that pass the buyer's check.

Contracting officers and prime contractors look you up before they shortlist you. Your site should answer them in the first minute.

For government contractors and public-sector consultancies across the US and UK. Website packages start at $9,500, and custom builds with portals or dashboards at $30,000.

Problem

Why most contractor sites lose the shortlist.

A contracting officer, or a prime looking for a teaming partner, gives your site a minute or two. They want proof you can do the work, the vehicles they can buy through and who to call. Five patterns we see on contractor sites.

  1. 01

    Capabilities written as slogans.

"Innovative solutions for mission success." The reader needs your NAICS codes, your set-aside status and what you delivered, for whom. Not adjectives.
  2. 02

    Past performance missing or vague.

No agency, no scope, no period of performance, no value. When a client can't be named, the work disappears from the site, though it could be described without the name.
  3. 03

Contract vehicles buried in a PDF.

Your schedule, IDIQs and blanket purchase agreements decide whether an agency can buy from you this quarter. They belong on a page, not on page two of a capability statement.
  4. 04

One page for every kind of government.

Federal agencies, states, cities and international bodies buy differently. A single generic "Government" page speaks to none of them.
  5. 05

A site that fails the checks you sell.

If you sell to public bodies, your own site is a sample of your work. One that fails a basic accessibility check undercuts every claim in your proposals.

Deliverables

A site built for how public buyers check you.

Every page answers a question a contracting officer, a prime or a program manager asks. Your team keeps it current without calling us for every change.

  • Capability page with NAICS codes, UEI and CAGE code, set-aside status and certifications
  • Contract vehicles page: each schedule, IDIQ and BPA, with how to order through it
  • Past performance pages with agency, scope, period and value, plus a format for work you can't name
  • Capability statement PDF made from the same content, so it always matches the site
  • Key people and their roles, described the way your proposals describe them
  • A teaming page for primes and subcontractors, with a named contact
  • Accessibility checked against WCAG 2.1 AA before launch
  • More than one language where your clients need it, including right-to-left Arabic
  • Set up so Google can read every page, with Search Console connected
  • 30 days of changes after launch, based on real visitors

Turnkey

You win the contracts, we run the website.

Design, build, hosting, security, monitoring and the changes that come after launch are handled as one engagement, so nobody on your team has to become the website person.

Work

Recent builds, across sectors.

Six projects. Two are concept sites, built to show a specific firm what their website could be rather than commissioned by them, so each one is marked and opens the live build.

Process

From brief to launch & beyond.

We start with a working session with you and the people who run the work, and build on what it finds. After launch we stay on to host, support and improve the site.

  1. 01

    Discovery.

A working session with you and the people who run the work. We review your current site, your competitors and what your buyers search for. The brief comes from that.
  2. 02

    Strategy & content.

Positioning. Architecture. Copy for the homepage and the project case study template. Photography brief. Sector pages mapped to buyer search intent.
  3. 03

    Design.

Page designs and the look of your brand, built in code so you review the real site in a browser early on.
  4. 04

    Build.

Modern production build using the latest web standards. CMS configured. Project case studies migrated and rewritten where needed. Analytics, structured data and Search Console wired.
  5. 05

    Launch & improve.

Go live, then watch how real visitors use the site for the first 30 days and make two or three rounds of changes based on what we see.

Questions

What government contractors ask us first.

Do you understand how agencies and primes find contractors?

Yes. Most start in SAM.gov, the SBA's small business search or a Google search, then open your website to check what they found. We build the site for that second look: what you do, the codes and vehicles they can buy through, the work you've done and who to call.

Can you show past performance when the client can't be named?

Yes. We write case studies that describe the type of client, the scope and the result without the name. On iknow.us a client's real name can sit in the case study for the team's own use, and the system keeps it off the public site.

Do you build to Section 508 and WCAG?

Yes. Section 508 uses WCAG 2.0 AA for web content, and the ADA Title II rule for state and local governments uses WCAG 2.1 AA. We build to 2.1 AA, which includes every 2.0 AA requirement, and check before launch. If a tender names a different standard, we build to that one.

Can the site produce our capability statement?

Yes. The capability statement can be made from the same content as the site, so the PDF you attach to an email matches what a contracting officer sees online.

Do you respond to public-sector website RFPs?

Yes. We answer them in full, including the questions on hosting, where the data lives, security and the products we would use. If you are writing one, our guide to website RFPs covers what to ask.

What if our current site still works?

Then keep it, and we'll tell you so on the first call. If you want more inquiries from it, the SEO Growth Program works on the site you have.
