Build your system

Your choices

Units
Step 1: Your water
Step 2: The problem
Step 3: The size
Oxygen demand of the water
Step 4: Speece Cone® size, Not chosen yet

Pick a size to add the cones to the picture. The suggested size fits your demand.

Step 5: Oxygen supply, Not chosen yet

Pick a supply to add it to the picture, on land beside the cones. The suggested one fits your demand.

Why liquid oxygen: at about 3,212 lbs/day, a LOX tank stores the most oxygen in the least space, refilled by truck.

Step 6: Installation

Where the cones stand. Switch it to watch them move.

Your first look

3,212lbs of oxygen a day

1,457 kg/day

  • 2 Standard Speece Cones
  • Liquid oxygen (LOX) storage tank
  • On shore

In the range of ECO₂'s installed systems for lakes, reservoirs and rivers: 500 to 40,000 lbs/day.

How we got there

  1. Area over deep water: 60% of 400 acres = 240 acres, or 971,246 m²
  2. Demand: 971,246 m² × 1 g O₂/m²/day × 1.5 for induced demand = 1,456,870 g/day
  3. Oxygen: 1,456,870 g/day ÷ 453.6 = 3,212 lbs/day
  4. 3,212 lbs/day ÷ 2,500 lbs/day per Standard cone = 1.3, so 2 cones

Cone capacities here are illustrative: Compact up to 500 lbs/day, Standard up to 2,500 lbs/day, Large up to 6,000 lbs/day, Extra large up to 10,000 lbs/day. Supply rule of thumb for this first look: cylinders under 150 lbs/day, an onsite generator from 150 to 1,500 lbs/day, liquid oxygen above that.

A first look to start the conversation. ECO₂'s engineers size every system from your data.

Prepare your system summary

Add what you know about your site. This demonstration sends nothing: your details stay in this browser and become a summary you can copy.

Features

What we built.

  • Sewers, treatment plants, lakes, reservoirs and rivers
  • The problem shows in the scene the moment you choose it
  • Speece Cones® and the oxygen supply drop in as you pick them
  • Once the oxygen flows, the water clears
  • US or metric units, with similar ECO₂ projects listed
  • A system summary to copy at the end
  • Pause, Reset system and full keyboard use

A concept we designed and built for ECO₂ Technologies, the home of the Speece Cone®. It explains an oxygen system by letting you build one.

You pick the water, the problem and the size, and one scene follows your choices. The problem shows up in the water, the Speece Cones® and the oxygen supply drop in as you choose them, and once the oxygen flows the problem clears. At the end it writes a summary of the system you built, with similar ECO₂ projects from eco2tech.com. It runs in the browser, and on this page nothing you enter is sent.
